Holy...

Holy cow, it has been A LONG TIME since I've last posted.  In the amount of time it has taken me to get back to this, I've gained a new niece (Kate) and a new nephew (Rhett), Keeton has started pre-school , Ella is in 1st grade, and I just went back to school for my superintendency certificate (hoping to work toward my doctorate) in educational administration.  Not that we are busy or anything!

So the real reason I titled this post as I did is because of a hilarious Keeton moment a few days ago.  While we were hanging out in the kitchen, I heard Keeton say, "Holy Crap!" Of course, I asked him what he said (not sure why I do that--I clearly heard him and knew it wasn't appropriate).  So, he kindly repeated, "Holy Crap!"  I told him that we don't say "crap" and recommeded "moly" or "cow" as a suitable replacement.  Just about this time, Jeff walked in on the conversation.  A little bit of background now: the kids and Jeff sometimes play this game where one will say a word and the other says another word to create a phrase--an ever popular basketball cheer technique.  For example, "You say Bradley, I say Braves...", "Bradley", "Braves", "Bradley", "Braves".
So, Keeton looks at Jeff and says, "I say Holy, you say Crap...Holy...(waits on Jeff to say "Crap").  At this point, I am disciplining and Jeff...well, he was behind the pantry laughing.

Just another moment in the Bloom household!

  1. I'm so sorry but you did marry my brother and I'm pretty sure you knew what you were getting into! :-)

  2. Yep...so true. I actually wanted to laugh too, but figured one of us should remain parental!
