Keeton turned the momentous "five" on Wednesday. Something about turning five just makes me sad... he is not a toddler, not really a big-kid, but somewhere in the middle of it all. This is his last summer before kindergarten, the last few months of mommy and daddy being the center of his small world. I remember when Ella turned five--she still seemed so little to me (well she was little in size, for sure). Keeton just seems a bit more self-sufficient, so turning five seals the deal, so to speak.
Yesterday (Friday), Keeton also lost his very first tooth! He didn't even realize it was gone until we asked him where it went. Who knows where it went--literally. I have a feeling it is making its way through Keeton's digestive track. Of course, the fear from him was what would happen with the Tooth Fairy, so Ella wrote a note letting the Tooth Fairy know her brother had probably swallowed the tooth, so please leave him money anyway. Lucky for Keeton, Ella's note worked!
